Constructions of Auslander-Gorenstein local rings

Starting from an arbitrary ring $R$ we provide a systematic construction of $\mathbb{Z}/n\mathbb{Z}$-graded rings $A$ which are Frobenius extensions of $R$, and show that under mild assumptions $A$ is an Auslander-Gorenstein local ring if and only if so is $R$.

Facets of the r-stable Second Hypersimplex

We will define a class of subpolytopes within the n,k-hypersimplex that we call the r-stable n,k-hypersimplices. For a fixed n and k these polytopes form a nested chain of finite length. For k=2, we will determine the facets of these polytopes, and then see that the number of facets is always 2n except for the smallest polytope in the chain. Finally, we will note that there are precisely two Gorenstein r-stable n,2-hypersimplices for every r greater than 0, one of which is a unimodular (n-1)-simplex. [ pdf]

ポリオミノイデアルのグレブナー基底について (Groebner bases of polyomino ideals)

ポリオミノが balanced であるという概念を導入し、balanced なポリオミノに付随 するイデアルはスクエアフリーなグレブナー基底を持つことを示す。さらに、 balan ced であるようなポリオミノをいくつか紹介する。

2次元周期グラフのl_1埋め込みについて

無限グラフで，Z^nの作用について不変であるようなものをn次元周期グラフという．グラフHのd次元l_1埋め込みとは，Hのgraph metricのR^d空間への等距離埋め込みのことである．周期グラフ上最短路問題はHoftingとWankeにより整数計画問題による定式化が行われている．本講演では周期グラフのl_1埋め込みとパラメトリック整数計画問題との関係及び，2次元周期グラフのl_1埋め込みを計算するアルゴリズムを紹介する．
